Your lists

What Dave offers on every job, kept once, published as revisions, and copied onto a job as a review — never read live by a decision.

1 · Your lists
/jobs/lists, a sibling of the job chooser. The first builder screen that is not about one house.
Under Jobs, not a fourth door

The Jobs door is already where “everything of yours, across houses” lives. NAV_AND_COMMIT_RULINGS.md Ruling 1 set the doors, and a list is not a reason to reopen it.

The copy stops where the account does

An account has one owner and no members. The line says who can change a list and does not say your team, because Renee cannot be on the account at all.

2 · One list, and the change not yet published
A published revision cannot be edited. Changing the list opens a draft beside it, and no job sees the draft.

Revisions, because a job took a copy

51 frame 14 reads revision 4, 2 April on the decision. That line is only true if revision 4 still means what it meant, so a published revision is immutable and an edit is a new one.

3 · A package is its members
The same four rows 51 frame 14 shows a homeowner, in the same order. The total is their sum and cannot be typed.

The composer looks like its output

22 frame 3’s rule. A builder editing a package sees the rows a homeowner will choose between, so the eleven weeks is as visible to him as it will be to Sam.

No typed total

A total that can disagree with its members is a price nobody can defend. The fiction’s own rule — the members sum to the package exactly — is the screen’s.

4 · One item
What the list carries onto a job, and nothing a job decides. Who owes it and where it got to are set on the job.

A fourth kind of number

51 frame 14 names it: you typed this, check it against the tag, it came off a quote, and your builder’s list. The hint says which one this is at the moment it is written.

A photo is read, not trusted

The tag read 17 already built, and its correction step. The model number is the fact every later screen joins on, so what was read is shown before it is saved.

No “who owes it” here

Ownership is set at settlement on a job (Q256). A list that carried it would be deciding something for a house it has never seen.

5 · What travels with it
The same item, further down. A product page, a spec sheet and a manual, each kept as a copy the day it was added.

Save to the draft
A copy, not a link

Manufacturers move and pull manuals within a few years; the binder is meant to outlast that. Kept at save, not fetched at read — 51 frame 5’s rule — and each copy travels with the item: option, settled selection, installed product.

The manual is for the binder, years later

A spec sheet decides a choice; a manual is what Sam opens when the ice maker stops. 45’s handoff is where it has to be, and nothing in the schema holds one today — not even installed_products.

6 · Publishing revision 5
Publishing changes no job. Each job already on the list gets a review of the new revision, and what it settled stays settled.
Publish revision 5

What happens on each job

Publish revision 5 Keep the draft
This is 51 frame 20’s other end

A newer list is ready · what you already chose is unchanged. That sentence is only honest if publishing makes a review and nothing else, which is what this screen promises before he taps.

One chain per list, per job

The review is project_delivery_reviews, scoped by source_scope_key, so a list review and a delivery document review can be open on one job at once.

7 · Offering it on a job
2 April, the day revision 4 reached The Hollis House. Choose the job and the decision it answers; the job receives a review, not options.

Revision 4 · three packages

On which job
The Hollis House
For which decision
Choose an open decision
The packages become that decision’s options once the review is accepted. They are copied then, and your later changes arrive as a new review.
Send it to review
A source becomes a review before it becomes a choice

48’s rule, reused whole. A published revision needs no reading, so the review opens at ready and 48 frames 3 and 4 cannot happen.

The copy 51 frame 14 reads

Kitchen appliances · revision 4, 2 April on the decision is this send, accepted. Everything that page shows about the packages was taken here and never read live again.

8 · No lists yet
Unstarted, from the design kit: empty because nobody has started, one action, a hairline and no fill.
No sample list

A seeded list would be prices HouseChalk invented on a builder’s behalf, which is the lie the fourth kind of number exists to prevent.
