Addressed by what is being said, never by who receives it. Luis confirming a date and Tom picking cabinets are the same type; drawing them as different products is how a fifth vocabulary gets invented. And the sentence no account needed is reassurance from an institution and a slight from a partner.
“Luis: island wall is open Thursday only. Can you get the primary bath done that day instead of the 22nd?”
Thursday works
I will be there
A different day
Tell Dave which
Call me
Easier to sort out on the phone
Never a dead end with two answers and no way out. Call me costs nothing, routes to the person who can actually sort it, and is often the right answer — a tier that only accepts the answers it anticipated is a tier that produces wrong answers.
It is a relationship. Luis gets the same page shape a homeowner gets, from the same vocabulary, and nothing on it is a lesser version of anything. There is no subcontractor role in this model and no subs section anywhere in the builder's app.
Dave is an institution to Luis in this exchange — across the boundary, not on the same side of it. The sentence is reassurance: this is not a trap and not a sign-up funnel. Frame 6 is where the identical sentence would be an insult.
“Curtis: before the drywall goes on, what would it cost to move the pantry door to the other wall? Just a rough number is fine.”
An earlier draft filed it under type 1, which would have forced a second input-shaped variant of the chooser and split the type in two. A number he types is not a choice among options. Filing it here keeps type 1 at exactly one shape across every role that receives it.
I would rather just text her is a first-class answer, because it is what he will actually do. The distinction that matters is not which channel: a tap files itself; a text is filed by an account. Ruth's app puts his sentence on the record either way.
That number is not validated the way the builder app validates one, and the cost-of-deciding-late arithmetic downstream runs on it. Saying so is the honest part; nothing in this tier can fix it, because the person typing has no record for us to check it against.
The account-less side never operates the filing cabinet, and that is the boundary rather than a limitation of SMS. Curtis's sentence lands on Ruth's record because Ruth has a record. His words are not paraphrased, summarized or cleaned up on the way.
Nor should it care. Delivery channel is a fact about a message and is fine on a send sheet; it is never a property of a person, and nothing anywhere in this product writes no account beside somebody's name.
The cabinet package and the backsplash. Don't order against either. Dave will send this again when they land.
A receipt is not a fact about somebody's work. If Marcus tapped got it, the homeowner would eventually be shown Marcus saw it and would read that as agreement — which it is not, and which is a much more expensive mistake than an unacknowledged page.
A cumulative spec that goes stale gets ordered against, and the order is wrong by a room. So when the cabinet package lands, this page goes to replaced and points forward — never to superseded, which would say do not act and leave a supplier with nothing to buy from.
Named in the words, so an absence cannot be read as a blank check. The gaps are as load-bearing as the four facts above them.
33-the-digest; here to complete the vocabulary.Demolition finished Tuesday and the electrician was in Thursday. Nothing needs you.
The homeowner's digest is money; the account-less builder's is decisions closed and what was held back. The type is defined by its function, and what needs summarizing genuinely differs by who is on the other end of a build. The test that keeps it honest: if a payload ever needs an answer, it is not type 4 — it leaves the digest and becomes a 1, a 2 or a 3.
So an absence can never be read as a decision. A digest that lists only what happened teaches the reader that silence means nothing is pending, which is the opposite of true.
Counter material
Here is a link is not what a person asking their sister for an opinion wants to say. The message field leads the screen rather than sitting under it as a note, and institutional sends carry the sender's own words too — frame 1 opens on Dave's actual text.
Text or email, and it is the sender's choice. It appears on a send sheet, where it is a delivery detail, and never beside a person's name anywhere else.
“These are the two from Saturday. The one on the left is the one I keep coming back to but I can't tell if that's just because it was first.”
No account needed tells a stranger this is not a trap, and tells somebody's sister that she is the lesser participant in a conversation she was invited into. Sender relationship decides, not recipient tier — and peer means the same side of the project, which is derivable, so no sender is ever asked to choose a tone.
So the offer sits at full weight above everything, and it is stated once. Its content is real — the coach, the whole budget, the record that outlives the build — and it closes on nothing on this page changes if you say no, which is what makes it a door rather than a toll.
Not a quieter one, not one further down. Sam is not selling anything to Sam's sister, and the product putting a pitch inside a family conversation is worse than any revenue it would earn.
The two source decks drew the same page four times because they filed it by recipient: a sub link, a homeowner link, a supplier link, a co-owner link. Addressed by content instead, Luis confirming a date and Tom picking cabinets collapse into one page with one shape, and the four types cover every account-less surface the product has. A fifth type is a claim that somebody is being told something none of these four covers, and that claim should be made explicitly rather than by adding a screen.
The sender first, always, before anything fetched. An as-of line, because a page that is deliberately stale must say so. And it lands on the thing — there is no account-less home screen, because there is no standing address and nothing to hold one.
Which channel is offered where. Text or email is the sender's choice, and where that choice is made is the builder's send composer.
Copy. Voice and structure are fixed; sentences are written per page.
Every feature list is somebody else's product described in the abstract. Four rows naming what Dave has already sent this person — a pick they made, an answer they got, two overages they were told about on dates they can check — is the same claim made out of facts they can verify by scrolling up. Nothing on the first card is a capability; it is a receipt.
Forty-three decisions nobody needed to ask them about, the money rather than the two overages, and the record after the builder has gone. Said plainly, because the account-less tier is a real and permanent tier in this product and the offer has to be able to be declined by somebody who understands it perfectly.
No thanks, take me back at ghost weight, and the closing line repeats the promise the door made on frame 7. A conversion screen with no exit is the one place this product would look exactly like the ones it is arguing against, and the exit costs a line.
