Priorities, four ways to answer

No beat counter, and that is a ruling rather than an omission. Track S (2026-08-23) ruled that conversation beats get no numerator or denominator, because visible_when gating means the denominator is not knowable until the answers that gate it exist. Frame 9a's own “Prompt 2 of 4” predates nothing and contradicts it; the conflict is owed a register entry, and until it has one these frames take the option that violates neither.

A proposal, not a record of what is built. The page frame is 04-onboarding's and does not move; what changes is the work column. Redrawn after review, with the Mobbin patterns behind each call named in the frame notes: the alternates stopped being floating links and each one now sits with the thing it is an alternate for. Prompt copy here is proposed too.

1 · One screen, three ways in — desktop
The mode switch is gone. The word bank sits with the answers, above the box, always visible; the mic sits inside the box, because dictation is an input method and belongs to the input. Nothing floats.

Two answers in one, and neither has to be tidy. Tap whatever fits, write it, or say it — they all land in the same place.

It is dark by three and everyone ends up standing in the kitchen anyway. I want it open without feeling like a warehouse.
Three tapped, and your own words alongside them. HouseChalk will show what it heard before saving.
2 · Taps alone are a complete answer — desktop
Nothing was typed and the commit is live. A tapped pill writes straight to the beat’s field keys, so this path calls no model, has no review step, and cannot fail. This is the frame that answers “I could not enter anything that let me proceed.”

Add anything the list missed. Optional.
Three tapped. That is enough — the box is optional.
3 · Voice happens inside the box — desktop
Pressing the mic replaces the box’s contents and nothing else: same footprint, the bank still above it, no navigation. Frame 9b’s recording state, moved into the composer it belongs to.

It is dark by three and everyone ends up standing in the kitchen anyway...

You can edit the transcript before anything is read.
4 · What I heard, and you decide what sticks — desktop
Not a stack of callouts. Each fact is a row that can be turned off, with the words it came from quoted underneath, so a wrong reading is visibly wrong. Turning one off is reversible and destroys nothing. The third row is the gap: today two dealbreakers out of three is refused as no_capture and drawn as “I didn’t catch anything to save from that”, which is false and has no way past it.

Review what HouseChalk heard
Does this sound right?

A working fireplace is not negotiable.

“we are not doing this without a real fire”

The kitchen window has to face the yard.

“I want to see the kids from the sink”

Three-car garage.

“we have talked about a third bay”

You named two must-haves. I did not hear a third, and that is fine — it stays open and I will ask again if it starts to matter.

5 · Finish Priorities later — desktop side dialog
The way out of the chapter, and it says what it costs. Same resize-stable side panel Project help and Stage help use; dismissing it changes nothing.

6 · The beat, and the way out — mobile
The bank wraps rather than becoming a second screen, and the commit bar carries the pair: the CTA and the skip beside it. Leaving the chapter is a bottom sheet, because it is a decision about the whole chapter rather than a control on this screen — and the sheet’s foot is a grid, so both buttons are full width and neither is a stray link.
